Compensation:

The pay for this position is $38.00 per hour
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Highlights:

This position is a contract assignment with potential for permanent hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs
The required availability for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and create individualized care plans
Administer chemotherapy, blood components, fluids, and electrolytes as prescribed by a physician
Monitor patients for infusion complications and address any issues promptly
Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers
Review laboratory results and report any abnormalities per facility policy
Facilitate consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests, referrals, and future appointments
Triage patient phone calls and document relevant information
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Assist patients in locating available community resources
Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants

Requirements:

Active/Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
Oncology or infusion nursing experience preferred
Strong knowledge of chemotherapy administration and safety protocols
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
5+ years of chemo/infusion experience qualifies for MAX pay

Education:

Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Advanced nursing certifications related to oncology
