Job Posting: Physician - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Location: Northeast San Antonio Position: Full-Time Physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician) Compensation: Negotiable, $220k+ base salary, plus additional RVU production bonus. Additional negotiable benefits include contract terms, CME allotment, PTO, relocation assistance, etc. Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Physician - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) to join our team in Northeast San Antonio . This is an opportunity to provide comprehensive rehabilitation care to patients in a 42-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) . The patient load is typically shared with another PM&R physician and is well-supported by internal medicine doctors. The position offers flexible full-time hours and the potential for a Medical Directorship for a strong candidate. Reporting Structure

• Reports to the Regional Chief Medical Officer for clinical matters.
• Reports to the Hospital CEO (or designee) for administrative matters. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full-time medical care to patients specializing in physical and rehabilitation medicine , including rounding and consultations.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, staff, and other practitioners to develop and improve patient care policies .
  • Address medical concerns impacting patient care, quality of life, and healthcare services .
  • Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with physical and cognitive impairments, disabilities, and pain conditions .
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures , including injections, electro-diagnostic medicine, and treatment planning.
  • Assess and stabilize patients with emergency conditions per hospital policies.
  • Supervise rehabilitation treatment plans , including physical therapy and interventions.
  • Oversee admissions, pre-admission screenings, and patient care plans .
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient progress evaluations.
  • Provide administrative support as required. Qualifications
    • Education: M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
    • Licensure: Active state medical license.
    • Training: Completion of an accredited Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency .
    • Certification: Board certification (or eligibility) in PM&R is preferred.
    • Experience: Prior Medical Director or leadership experienced candidates are encouraged to apply! .
